Contrary to the name that sounds, it is not a cannon ball race: with its completely new design of the tread, the minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravitational races.
With the lateral pieces of the legendary DHF, slightly improved for an even greater support when cornering, it has excellent traction. The central knobs are tapered to allow better acceleration and braking. The profile cut in a longitudinal direction makes the curves at high speed a children's game.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)

This special construction of the carcass optimizes the arrangement of the tread and the shape of the tire on modern wider rims today. Traditional tires are developed for narrow circles and on wide rims end with a form too angular and therefore not very ideal in terms of performance.
WT tires are optimized for an internal width of the 35 mm circle, but they work excellently on all circles with an internal size between 30 and 40 mm.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tires have numerous advantages: you can drive with lower air pressure. This offers better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no flexible tube, the risk of failures is reduced. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for assembly with sealing than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The heel of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, as a real tubeless UST tire. This means that L'Tubeless installation takes place successfully on all standard circles to the first swelling and with little liquid.

Even the "normal" Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted without air chamber with sealant such as the tires of other producers, since the fabric of the carcass is very dense.
However, only the new Maxxis TR models are officially approved for L'Tubeless installation and guaranteed by Maxxis. L'Tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.

Note: We strongly advise against Luse of sealing milk containing ammonia. It has been shown that L'Ammonia attacks the carcass and, depending on the quantity used, can weaken it up to 30% already after a few months.

Exo+ protection

L'EXO+ improved casing is based on a robust 60TPI wrapping, covered in abrasion resistant rubber. In addition, the sides of the tire have a reinforced and rubberized exo anti -forage protection layer, while a short button insert is inserted above the tire heel. Exo+ protection tires are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro races and are ideal for the highest couple and weight associated with E-MTB.

3C Maxxterra

3C Maxxterra is the optimal three -layer rubber compound for our enduro and freeride tires. This mixture is characterized by ease of movement uphill and better adhesion downhill, as well as a long duration.
