Custom zonal cushioning

The evolution of digital 3D printing has enabled the development of a new saddle without the constraints or limitations imposed by traditional manufacturing methods and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding is made by Carbon® using their revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis™ technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution, and surface finish.

Lab tested, road proven.

Using Carbon technology, biomechanists and engineers have an unprecedented opportunity: to design and create multiple functional zones within the saddle, adjusting each separately for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional zones is designed for distinctive cushioning and mechanical response, progressively and seamlessly combined in the same padding. The result? A 60% reduction in peak pressure through better weight distribution for greater comfort across the entire saddle surface.

All-day comfort

Aliante is a waved saddle featuring a gradual, tapered transition from the wing to the nose. With a slightly wider platform to support the ischial bones, it improves stability and weight distribution for full-day rides. With a focus on comfort, the recently redesigned Aliante has a flatter surface to allow more evenly distributed pressure and a balanced feel, especially useful on extended endurance rides.

The Aliante Adaptive 3D-printed padding is designed to provide every rider with the right support, regardless of riding position, for long days on the bike. The unique properties of our Adaptive technology allow us to design thicker padding with a softer central functional zone, instead of a cutout, increasing the saddle surface to better distribute pressure on the saddle, enhancing comfort on longer rides. The Aliante R3 Adaptive balances both durability and weight with a carbon-reinforced nylon shell and a hollow Kium rail.
