Campagnolo Ekar 1x13v Crankset

The crankset is the heart of the new 1x Ekar system, with its chainring options covering a wide range of uses
Of course, the single gear is simple to use: no front derailleur, significantly reduced weight, fewer moving parts that collect dirt and can cause jams, and high chain security, without unnecessary gear overlaps – a perfect solution for gravel routes.
The two crank arms made of UD carbon fiber feature semi-axles in AISI 630 steel, in line with the expert material pairing throughout the Ekar group, aiming to achieve lightweight components with maximum efficiency and durability.
The new ProTech™ technology joins the two semi-axles inside the bottom bracket with a single durable bolt. The oversized stainless steel bearing is located on the crank arm, pressed onto the semi-axle, for maximum smoothness and durability – and to be easily accessible for inspection and maintenance without having to remove the cups.
There are four gear options: Adventure has 38 teeth; Pure Gravel is 40T, Fast Gravel is 42T, and eGravel 44T. Their optimized design offers efficient transmission and maximum chain reliability.
The 7075 aluminum chainrings, light and durable, are easily interchangeable: you can simply unscrew them from the four arms of the crank arm without needing to disassemble the crankset. The four arms, set asymmetrically for optimal load distribution, have a 123 mm bolt circle diameter. Changing the gears is a simple and efficient way to adjust your ratio while tackling different types of terrain.
The Ekar crankset offers four crank arm length options – 165, 170, 172.5, and 175 mm – to fit riders and bikes of all types. For some gravel bikes with low bottom brackets, shorter crank arms are most used to avoid striking on rough and unpredictable surfaces.
A Q factor of 145.5 mm provides a comfortable and efficient pedaling style, whatever your size.
The UD carbon arms feature removable protective end caps to keep your components like new, no matter the terrain you face.

Technology
Pro-Tech™
The patented Pro-Tech™ double-seal technology firmly connects the two semi-axles inside the bottom bracket and protects the bearings from water and mud ingress, providing high-performance longevity even in the worst conditions. The innovative and proven Ultra-Torque™ technology has been developed with gravel in mind: the Hirth joint of the Pro-Tech™ system features self-centering and self-aligning teeth located at the center of the crank arm where the ends of the integrated semi-axles meet. The axles are fastened together with a single oversized protected bolt; their precise coupling can even compensate for misalignment that some carbon frames may have due to tiny tolerance differences in their manufacturing.
The torque transmission of the Pro-Tech™ crank arm system is as efficient as that of a single through-axle and is lighter. Additionally, being better protected than other systems, it is also more durable. The oversized stainless steel bearing placed on the crank arm, outside the bottom bracket cups, offers maximum stiffness, smoothness, and durability thanks to the increased diameter of the axles.
