Pirelli P Zero Race 4S Tubeless Ready Tire

PZERO Race 4S TLR is our first all-season racing tire with tubeless technology capable of providing high grip in all weather conditions and greater puncture protection, while maintaining the characteristics of a racing tire from our PZERO Race range. This result was achieved thanks to the combination of SPEEDCORE tubeless technology, our latest evolution in casing design, and SMARTNET Silica, which has the best formulation for wet grip and chemical adhesion among our compounds. Like the rest of the PZERO Race range, the PZERO Race 4S TLR is also made in Italy at our new factory in Bollate.

Technologies

SmartNet Silica

Directly from its experience and know-how in Motorsport, Pirelli introduces a patented racing formulation to cycling, capable of ensuring maximum grip and smoothness on dry and wet surfaces. The elongated shape of the Silica molecules, unlike the commonly used spherical molecular silica, allows a new level of sophistication in the tread compound, resulting in improved handling thanks to the ability to orient the compound in the rolling direction. Furthermore, the enhanced mechanical resistance of the tread achieved by the improved interaction of Silica with other components (such as aramid fibers directly dispersed in the compound) increases puncture protection and tire durability.

Speedcore

The highest performing tubeless-ready road structure in our range features a layer of compound mixed with aramid that coats the inner layer of the tire, ensuring air retention. This new structure makes the tire more resistant, thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to the greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a 120tpi Nylon fabric and a puncture protection layer, also made of aramid.
