Voice Search

Bryton Rider S500 speaks all languages! Thanks to the Internet connection, Rider S500 eliminates the need for on-screen keyboards by providing Google online voice search, available in over 100 languages: a faster, more intuitive, and comprehensive way to search for addresses or POIs during road rides, trails, or wherever you are!

OpenStreetMaps and POI

Rider S500 comes preloaded with OSM (OpenStreetMaps) maps and supports an enhanced zoom level up to 16 levels. The device map displays a wide range of POIs (points of interest), including bike shops, hospitals, refreshment points, restrooms, etc., and selecting a POI provides a brief description. The OSM maps included in Rider S500 have also been improved to show MTB routes and other useful information for offroad disciplines.

Advanced Routing Functions

When you go off the route you are following, Rider S500, by connecting to your smartphone, will redirect you back to the original itinerary. You can also reverse a saved route to swap start and end points, as well as retrace an ongoing route to return to the starting point along the same path.

Turn-by-Turn Navigation

Whether you are exploring new terrain or following a downloaded route, Rider S500 is the ideal companion for your rides and offers navigation and advanced ride data features, including roads (when connected to Bryton Active), points of interest, and peaks (customizable via Bryton Active), plus information on distance and direction of turns, all on the preloaded European OSM (OpenStreetMap) maps.

Climb Challenge

In Route Follow mode, climb to new heights with the Climb Challenge feature. When you start a climb, Rider S500 will display a dedicated page, providing a graphical overview of the various segments covered. The Climb Challenge screen also presents a summary of all climbs on the route, a division into brightly colored segments, distance, altitude, elevation gain, and start and end points, giving easy access to all this information at a glance.

Advanced Training Features

Thanks to the new graphical training overview with zoom support and new advanced features such as real-time intensity adjustment, TrainingPeaks compatibility, a new flexible training mode, and the ability to add notes (via the Bryton Active app or TrainingPeaks), training on Rider S500 has become even better! You can view training progress, customizable power zones, and more, all with a vivid graphical interface!

Thanks to compatibility with ANT+ FE-C smart trainers, Rider S500 can communicate with your indoor smart trainer to control resistance or power (target resistance/power), simulate personalized virtual workouts (smart training), or simulate a route (virtual ride).

Smart Training

Rider S500 allows you to easily create personalized virtual workouts for smart trainers from home! Training programs can be designed with the Bryton Active app and downloaded directly to the device. Thanks to ANT+ FE-C support, Rider S500 communicates with the smart trainer to simulate resistance from the training program.

Live Track

Share your real-time location with friends and family using the new Bryton Live Track feature. Just generate a sharing link directly from your smartphone and share it on any messaging app. With the Live Track link, anyone can follow you from the web and see not only your real-time location but also current speed, travel time, route time, distance, and the time of the last update!

Radar Compatibility

By connecting to an ANT+ Bike Radar, you can see vehicles approaching up to 150 m behind you via notifications to keep you alert. The bar located on the right side of each data page signals approaching traffic in various colors, emitting an audible alert.

Ambient Light Sensor: Suitable for Any Condition

Using the built-in ambient light sensor, Rider S500 will automatically adjust brightness based on detected light conditions. During indoor rides, passing through a tunnel, under trees, etc., the backlight automatically becomes brighter to compensate, ensuring optimal screen brightness anytime, anywhere!

Sync with the Bryton App

Training data can be automatically synced via WLAN or Bluetooth from the device to the Bryton Active app, where you can see your progress, view graphical analyses, and share your activities with millions of enthusiasts. Using Bryton Active also allows you to sync and plan workouts, download planned routes, and much more. After a simple setup, with auto-sync from your Bryton Active account, you can share and compare your results with STRAVA, TrainingPeaks, and Selfloops users.
